Nadasurabhi Cultural Association located in Koramangala, Bangalore is in the forefront of promoting Classical Carnatic Music. Nadasurabhi conducts the highest quality music concerts every month and a week-long Annual Festival in November, free of charge to all rasikas. Our other events include a youth festival, Thyagaraja and Purandaradasa Aradhana, and music competitions for children.
Nadasurabhi, in the year 2007 decided to institute an Award- Sangeetha Surabhi. The award is given to leading musicians for their immense lifetime contribution to the field of Carnatic Music. The award is given away during a special function held in conjunction with the Annual Music Festival held every November. With great respect the awardee is honoured with a Shawl, a Citation and a Purse. Following are the details of the awardees.

Nadasurabhi is greatly honoured to award the title of Sangeetha Surabhi to Vidwan Neyveli R Santhanagopalan. A prime disciple of mahavidwan Madurai T.N.Seshagopalan, Sri. Santhanagopalan has made immense contribution to Carnatic music over a period of five decades. He is a recipient of many other prestigious awards, including Sangita Kalanidhi from Madras Music Academy. While Smt. Harini Raghavan read the citation on the recipient, Vidushi Sumitra Nitin narrated the uniqueness of the Music of Sri. Santhanagopalan. In the acceptance speech, Sri.Santhanagopalan acknowledged his long association with Nadasurabhi and also mentioned the support of his wife Smt. Meera in his rise to stardom.

MS Sheela has made immense contribution to Carnatic music over a period of five decades. She is a recipient of many other prestigious awards, including Sangita Kalacharya from Madras Music Academy. While Smt. Harini Raghavan read the citation on the recipient, Sri. H.K.Venkatram spoke on the contributions of Smt. M.S.Sheela to the cause of Carnatic Music.

She has won the prestigious awards of Sangita Kalanidhi and Padmasri. While Smt. Harini Raghavan read the citation on the recipient, Sri. Ananthakrishna Sharma spoke on the life-long contribution of A.Kanyakumari to the cause of Carnatic Music.
