Music Competition for Children-18th May 2013

For the fifth successive year Nadasurabhi conducted a Children's Carnatic Music vocal competition on 18th May 2013, in two batches. There was enthusiastic participation by children and more than 40 registrations were received. The seniors among the kids aged between 11.5 and 15 sang in the morning whereas the juniors in the age group 8 to 11.5 sang in the afternoon session. The shields and consolation prizes were sponsored by Sri.Vishweswara in memory of his wife. The cash prizes were sponsored by Smt. Leelavathy Narayanaswamy.

Nadasurabhi, for the fifth successive year, will be conducting a Carnatic Vocal Music Competition for children between ages 8 and 15 (Date of Birth between 18.5.1998 and 18.5.2005).

Details:

I. Date and Venue: 18th May 2013- Saturday at Indian Heritage Academy Hall, 6th Block, Near Police Station, Koramangala, Bangalore

II. Timing of Competition: Will be intimated by email or SMS to each participant.

IV. While registering please provide the following information.

V. Due to time constraints, registrations can be accepted only from a limited number of  participants on first come first serve basis. So, kindly register at the earliest.
Last Date for registrations will be 10th May 2013 or once all the places are filled up whichever is earlier.

VI. All participants are required to bring their proof of age at the time of the competition.

VII. Each participant is expected to sing ONE carnatic song within a maximum duration of 5 minutes.

VIII. Participants should bring their own Sruti box.
